Differences in opportunity continue to affect people of color negatively, and discrimination against racial minorities often leads to dramatically unequal outcomes in a broad spectrum of areas, including education, employment, and even incarceration rates. The ACLU of Utah aims to preserve and extend constitutionally guaranteed rights to people who have historically been denied their rights based on race. The ACLU of Utah is committed to upholding racial equality and combating racism in all forms through litigation, community organizing and training, legislative initiatives, and public education.
The ACLU of Utah is a founding member of Racially Just Utah, a racially and ethnically diverse coalition with a mission to positively and proactively ensure racial equity in Utah through policy, accountability, and education.

United Way of Salt Lake (UWSL) condemns racism in all its forms – visible and hidden – structural, systemic, and often not seen by those of us who are white.
We cannot overcome racism unless we actively pursue its extinction. We must speak about it openly – with humility and a sincere desire to examine our own biases and our role in the systems that exclude and marginalize Black community members and other people of color.
Every day, along with many of our underrepresented neighbors, UWSL serves and supports those in our community who are marginalized and harmed by structural racism. We hold ourselves and our partnerships accountable for closing racial and economic gaps in education, health, and financial well-being - but we know we must do more.
We join with those who call on our country to be better – and commit to continue our journey toward racial awareness and healing – as individuals and as an organization. We pledge to do our part to create an organization and a world where racism is no longer the daily experience for people of color.

YWCA, Utah is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.
This year, YWCA USA invites communities to host activities and hold dialogue around the topic of immigration. We know that immigrant justice is integral to racial justice. All immigrants—regardless of status—deserve to be safe, healthy, and treated with dignity and respect. Too often, our stereotypes around immigration are cemented around terms of division, fear, and hate against the stranger among us. YWCA invites you to take a Stand Against Racism. We must find understanding and ensure the dignity, humanity, and rights of immigrants. Let's work together to support justice, safety, and opportunity in all communities.
